芯惠通的JetBox系列的最大优势是即用型的特点。芯惠通致力于提升工业通讯计算机的可用性。除了提供操作系统(内置Linux/ WinCE/ Windows XP)，还提供设备驱动，协议栈，系统管理工具，并支持daemon服务，整合这些功能于一张CF卡中。只要插入系统CF卡，就能一步完成JetBox的配置工作。另外，应用程序工具包，可方便用户基于操作系统轻松搭建自己的应用环境。
JetBox 8220 是一款采用AMD Geode LX800 500MHz处理器的嵌入式工业通讯计算机，配备512MB系统内存。它通过提高内存容量，将512MB系统内存中的64MB来改善VGA处理能力，并配备一个TV-out接口。在操作系统方面，除了Linux和WinCE, JetBox 8220 还支持嵌入式Windows XP系统，提供更友好的用户操作环境。它是一款高性能，稳定可靠的设备。采用全内置无风扇设计，且体积小巧，可在宽温工业环境中稳定工作。为提高可扩展性，它还配备4个USB2.0接口，2个RS-232接口和2个RS-232/422/485三合一串口，方便不同界面的设备接入，和一个CF插槽用于系统整合，它还提供视频和音频输出接口，使现场应用更加灵活。此外，配备2个RJ-45网口，并支持daemon进程和Web服务，适合现代网络通讯管理模式。
